Galaxy Daily: Galapagos Day Tour Yacht

The Galaxy Daily is a fully renovated day tour yacht sailing through the Galapagos Islands. The yacht offers travelers one-day excursions to different parts of the archipelago, departing from Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island. The Galaxy Daily returns to port every evening, unlike other cruise vessels whose itineraries take multiple days. A day tour is perfect for travelers who are staying at hotels in Santa Cruz and are looking for guided island visits, but don’t want a full liveaboard itinerary. 

There are seven different itineraries taking place on fixed days of the week, each one covering a different combination of islands and wildlife sites. Travelers depart from Puerto Ayora at 8:30 AM. Guests can also enjoy unlimited purified water, tea, and coffee throughout the day.

Activities

Bilingual Galapagos National Park-certified naturalist guides lead the Galaxy Daily’s tours. Through land excursions on the islands, travelers can see a variety of fauna and flora, including blue-footed boobies, frigatebirds, marine iguanas, land iguanas, sea lion colonies, and giant cacti, depending on the specific itinerary. Mask, fins, and snorkel are provided for water activities, which are supervised by the guide and assistant staff. Motorized dinghy rides bring travelers near shorelines and wildlife areas that the yacht cannot easily reach.
