Fitness Requirements
This is a very physically challenging trip. You should be in shape, and have previous multi-day hiking and altitude experience to go up to 4,750m (15,583 ft).
Weather Preparedness
Amazon (Iquitos): Expect hot, humid tropical conditions (82-95°F) throughout. Andes (Huaraz/Santa Cruz Trek): Weather can be highly variable and extreme. Warm, sunny daytime temps (60-70°F), then night camp temperatures drop below freezing.
