After arriving in Reykjavik, a representative will meet you and transfer you to the group hotel. Upon reaching the hotel, visit the hospitality desk to collect luggage cabin tags and get information from the ground operations team regarding pre-embarkation details, dining options, cash withdrawal, or last-minute shopping. The rest of the day is free, and all meals are at your own expense.

In the morning, your luggage will be picked up from the hotel, sanitized, and transferred to the port for clearance, ensuring it reaches your cabin upon boarding. Make sure your luggage has cabin tags with your name and cabin number. Keep valuables with you. After checking out, embark on a Golden Circle excursion to explore Iceland's diverse landscapes. Later, transfer to the port for embarkation, attend safety briefings, and enjoy the Welcome Dinner with fellow expeditioners, the Expedition Team, and crew to kick off the adventure.
Sailing through the Denmark Strait toward Greenland, keep an eye out for whale blows and seabirds trailing the ship in the constant winds. Attend informative presentations in the lecture theatre covering topics like seabirds, wildlife, and ice, or take the opportunity to rest after active travel days.
In the upcoming days, we have a range of options to explore the east coast of Greenland, adapting to ice and weather conditions. The experienced Expedition Team will tailor the voyage for the best use of weather, ice conditions, and wildlife opportunities, including up to two landings or Zodiac excursions daily. Prepare for an icy experience as East Greenland showcases stunning scenery, with deep fjords, narrow channels, towering ice-clad peaks, and glaciers birthing colossal icebergs. The tundra landscape hosts musk oxen, arctic hares, and reindeer, while ancient Thule archaeological sites and Inuit villages, like Ittoqqortoormiit, offer cultural highlights. Explore Scoresbysund, the world's largest fjord system, rich in wildlife, and attempt to enter Kaiser Franz Josef Fjord for rare exploration. Enjoy hikes, sea kayaking, and the chance to spot polar bears, narwhals, and more in this Arctic wonderland.
During the upcoming two days at sea, delight in engaging and informative lectures from the knowledgeable Expedition Team, featuring insights from naturalists and historians, as we approach the southeast coast of Svalbard.
In the next 10 days, the Expedition Team will adapt the itinerary daily, considering weather, sea-ice conditions, and wildlife possibilities in Svalbard's Arctic wilderness. Witness stunning fjords, majestic mountains, and a polar desert rich in fossils. Encounter walrus on sea ice or beaches, explore colorful tundra, visit cliffs teeming with nesting birds, and hope for unforgettable sightings of polar bears on pack ice. Optional activities like kayaking and the polar plunge are available, weather permitting, providing unique and memorable experiences.
In the early morning, return to Longyearbyen and bid farewell to the Expedition Team upon disembarkation. Enjoy some free time before transferring to the airport for the next leg of your journey.
