The North Atlantic expedition links Iceland and Greenland and Labrador through an exploration of Earth's most isolated and breathtaking natural areas. The journey starts in Reykjavík before it travels through the Denmark Strait to reach Greenland's eastern wilderness which leads to its southern fjords and distant communities. The expedition reaches Newfoundland and Labrador through its journey across the Davis Strait toward the region's wild coastal areas. The route shows an ever-changing natural environment because glaciers and ice-filled fjords and animal habitats in the water shape the landscape patterns.

16 Day Artic Itinerary

Day 1: Reykjavík and Departure from Keflavík

Your expedition starts in Reykjavík which serves as Iceland's lively capital city before you head to Keflavík for your departure. The ship moves away from Iceland while its volcanic terrain and coastal splendor disappear from view. The journey moves swiftly into the deep ocean which establishes the path for an expedition focused on exploring new territories and making exciting discoveries. The North Atlantic Ocean spreads its waters throughout the area to create an impressive start for your Greenland voyage which begins as you set sail.
Meals Included: Lunch / Dinner

Day 2: Denmark Strait Crossing

The expedition sails through Denmark Strait to exit Icelandic waters before entering the Arctic Ocean for its deep exploration. The ocean area contains active water systems which support a wide range of marine species. The journey becomes more thrilling because seabirds fly freely at sea level while whales create hope for sightings. The ship moves forward to Greenland while the crew faces total isolation because the ocean extends without limits in all directions. The day is marked by anticipation as the first Arctic landscapes approach.
Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

Day 3: Arrival in Tasiilaq, East Greenland

Tasiilaq receives the first signs of Greenland because it serves as the main settlement for East Greenland. The Arctic region presents its unique way of life through this distant settlement which stands between magnificent mountain ranges and deep fjord waters. The area shows vibrant structures together with an unusual religious building and a compact museum which displays local traditions and historical background. The harsh terrain which surrounds Tasiilaq leads visitors into Greenland's wild nature where they will find fjords alongside frozen water bodies.
Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

Day 4 - 7: Skjoldungen Fjords Exploration

The team continues its mission by heading to the southern coast of Greenland, where they reach the isolated Skjoldungen Fjords. The location presents high mountain peaks together with permanent ice sheets which create a complete separation from human civilization. The location maintains its original condition because visitors remain scarce which helps it maintain its natural environment. The ship sails through tight channels which provide travelers with breathtaking mountain and frozen lake scenery. The Zodiac boat rides let visitors get closer to the coast while they explore every corner of this wild and uneven landscape.

The expedition reaches its most visually stunning section when the team navigates through Prince Christian Sound. The passage between Greenland's mountains takes form as glaciers descend with force toward the ocean through a slim corridor. The environment shows an ongoing transformation because floating icebergs create a changing landscape which produces an enchanted atmosphere. The combination of towering cliffs with water reflections creates an impressive visual experience which makes this place memorable. The remote area shows Greenland's natural beauty through its empty landscape which features beautiful natural scenes.

The team moves forward along Greenland's southern coast while they head toward distant villages which include Aappilattoq. The remote northern area contains multiple small villages which exist between fjords to create isolated communities. The land shows two opposing worlds because people live there beside untouched nature which exists in its original form through strong natural formations and frozen water bodies. Research in this location reveals new details about local traditions while scientists can study the natural landscape of the region.

Research into southern Greenland has discovered additional fjords which glaciers formed and pristine coastlines which remain unspoiled. The expedition team follows a flexible itinerary, adjusting plans based on weather and ice conditions. The activities consist of two main options which include exploring rocky beaches and navigating zodiac boats through ice-covered waters. The Arctic environment becomes even more engaging with opportunities to observe seabirds and marine mammals, showcasing the region’s diverse wildlife

Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

Day 8: Crossing the Davis Strait

The ship navigates through Greenland waters before entering the Davis Strait which functions as an extensive waterway between Greenland and Canada. The journey shows the vastness of the North Atlantic because its endless ocean stretches until it meets the distant horizon. Visitors can watch whales together with seabirds at this location because it supports numerous wildlife species. The landscape shifts between Greenland's snowy landscape and the untamed Labrador coastal area throughout this transformation.
Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

Day 9: Continued Davis Strait Navigation

The voyage through Davis Strait allows passengers to think about their previous experiences during their time in Greenland. The open sea creates a peaceful yet powerful atmosphere, where the rhythm of the ship and the vastness of the ocean dominate the experience. The expedition team keeps discovering wild animals during their trip which produces exciting experiences as they enter Canadian land.
Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

Day 10 - 13: Hebron, Labrador Coast

Travelers who reach Labrador encounter an area which combines rough coastal landscapes with a rich historical heritage. The Hebron community shows how Inuit people from this region used to live through their traditional way of life. The deserted buildings stand as evidence of past communities which existed within the wide natural environment.

Travelers who explore the Labrador coast witness how the Atlantic Ocean has carved out distant bays while creating impressive natural formations. The region creates its own unique environment because ocean waves connect to land surfaces which produces a distinctive natural intensity.

The path continues along the shoreline which reveals the natural beauty of Newfoundland and Labrador. The landscape transforms into a combination of untamed wilderness and oceanfront scenery which shows the maritime history of this region.

More natural elements of the area become visible as exploration continues. The expedition team changes its path based on weather patterns and environmental obstacles which enables them to conduct various activities throughout each day

Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

Day 14: Woody Point and Scenic Sailing

The coastal area of Woody Point presents visitors with a delightful seaside environment located in Newfoundland. The location offers a peaceful environment because it stands between two dramatic landscapes which I have visited before in the faraway Arctic regions. The day may also include scenic sailing, allowing you to take in the coastal views from the ship.
Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

Day 15: Sailing Toward St. John’s

The ship sails toward St. John’s which functions as the capital city of Newfoundland. People traveling on this journey can think about the various natural environments which they have seen during their trip between Iceland's volcanic coastline and Greenland's frozen fjords and Labrador's wild coastlines. The transition toward the journey’s end is marked by a sense of accomplishment and discovery.
Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

Day 16: Arrival in St. John’s

The expedition comes to an end at St. John’s which features both vibrant buildings and seaside views that form its lively atmosphere. The process of disembarkation brings an end to a voyage which has taken travelers across wide seas to discover distant areas of the planet. The memories of glaciers, wildlife, and dramatic landscapes remain long after the voyage ends.
