Diving Itinerary - Galaxy Diver II Yacht - Galapagos Cruise

Upon arrival at Baltra Airport, the Galaxy Diver crew welcomes you and transfers you to the yacht. After a safety briefing and orientation, you prepare for your check dive at Baltra Northeast. This first dive introduces you to Galapagos waters, testing your equipment and ensuring comfort for the upcoming adventure. The site offers calm conditions, excellent for spotting vibrant fish and small reef creatures, creating the perfect start to your journey. The initial immersion sets the tone for an unforgettable week of exploration and marine encounters across the Galapagos Islands.

Today begins with two morning dives at Punta Carrion, renowned for clear waters, colorful tropical fish, and possible sightings of hammerhead sharks between June and December. Playful sea lions and schools of surgeonfish add life to the underwater landscape. After completing your dives, the Galaxy Diver sets sail toward Wolf Island. The navigation, taking approximately 14 hours, offers a moment to relax, review dive highlights, and anticipate the thrilling underwater adventures that await at one of the world’s most famous diving destinations.

Dive into some of the richest marine sites in the Galapagos. Shark Bay and La Banana reveal schools of Galapagos sharks, eagle rays, and playful sea lions. La Ventana Islet and El Derrumbe deliver stunning reef life and dramatic underwater landscapes. The strong currents here feed a wealth of marine species, making Wolf Island a paradise for divers seeking close encounters with large pelagics. Multiple dives in these areas showcase an incredible diversity of ocean life and unforgettable moments beneath the waves.

Start the day diving at El Arenal, a site close to the world-famous Darwin’s Arch. This area features moderate to strong currents and exceptional visibility, creating ideal conditions to witness large gatherings of hammerhead sharks and other pelagics. Next, plunge into Darwin’s Arch itself, considered one of the best dive spots globally. Return to El Arenal for another dive, deepening your exploration of this breathtaking environment.
