Polar scuba diving is becoming an increasingly prominent part of Antarctic travel experiences. Available for more than 20 years, this activity allows certified divers to explore unique underwater environments shaped by icebergs and rich marine life. These excursions offer exceptional opportunities to encounter Antarctic wildlife, including seals, penguins, and whales, in one of the world's most remote destinations.
The scuba diving program is designed for experienced divers only. Participants must hold an Advanced Open Water Diver certification and have completed at least 30 drysuit dives, with a minimum of 10 dives in the 12 months preceding the trip. Additionally, proof of dive insurance and a current diving medical examination are mandatory to ensure safety during the excursions. These measures help address the complexities and risks associated with diving in cold polar waters.
Enhance your Antarctic expedition with optional scuba diving on select voyages. These itineraries combine unforgettable polar exploration with the opportunity to experience one of the world's most extraordinary underwater environments.
