SKY, Air France and KLM sign agreement to connect passengers to and from Europe with destinations in Chile, Peru and the rest of the region

This Thursday, the Chilean low-cost airline SKY signed an interline agreement with Air France and KLM. This allows passengers from the European carriers to connect to more than 30 SKY destinations in Chile, Peru, and other American countries with a single ticket that covers all required journeys.

In Chile, for instance, Air France and KLM's intercontinental travelers will be able to arrive at or depart from SKY destinations such as Puerto Montt, Antofagasta, and Puerto Natales. In Peru, they can access SKY destinations like Cusco, Arequipa, Iquitos, Juliaca, Tumbes, and Piura.

The agreement also includes connections to various cities across America, enabling travelers to connect with SKY destinations such as Mendoza, Bariloche, and Montevideo.

"We are pleased to announce a new interline agreement with one of Europe's largest and most prestigious airline groups. We are confident it will strengthen SKY's presence in the European market through the availability of our robust network in Latin America. This will connect different points in Chile, Peru, Argentina, and Brazil with Air France and KLM's transatlantic flights, creating an offer with many more travel possibilities through the combination of the three companies' networks," said Julio Solar, Strategy, Network, and Alliances Manager at SKY.

Another benefit of this agreement, in its second implementation phase, is that passengers will be able to complete a single check-in for the entire trip at their airport of origin. They will also have the option to label their luggage to the final destination, ensuring a smooth and straightforward travel experience.

The agreement will begin marketing at the end of July, when Air France and KLM publish itineraries that include combinations with SKY flights through their various sales channels.

The destinations operated by SKY included in the agreement are Antofagasta, Arica, Balmaceda, Calama, Castro, Concepción, Copiapó, Iquique, La Serena, Osorno, Punta Arenas, Puerto Montt, Puerto Natales, Temuco, and Valdivia in Chile.

In Peru, the destinations are Cusco, Arequipa, Trujillo, Juliaca, Piura, Ayacucho, Tumbes, Iquitos, Tarapoto, Pucallpa, and Jauja.

Other destinations in Latin America from the SKY International Network will also be included.
