South Plazas & Carrion Point Galapagos Tour - Thursday - Galaxy Skape Yacht
This Sunday excursion combines the landscapes and wildlife of South Plazas with snorkeling at Carrion Point. You will meet at 8:15 a.m with our team at the entrance of Puerto Ayora’s Church in front of the pier. Then you will travel to the Itabaca Channel departure point. At South Plazas, a dry landing takes us to a hike through an Opuntia cactus forest where Galapagos land iguanas roam and then you will walk to dramatic cliffs that attract frigatebirds, tropicbirds, swallow-tailed gulls and pelicans. The route also gives us a chance to see the island’s "bachelor colony" of aging sea lions. At Carrion Point, you will dive into the water for snorkeling. Might spot white-tip sharks, fish, sea turtles and rays. You will head back, to Puerto Ayora around 4:00 p.m.
