Experience the rainforest of Ecuador first hand on a 4-days introductory tour; drive from Capital City of Quito or the lovely Town of Baños by private transportation with some stops along the way to enjoy the dramatic change of scenery from the Andes to the Amazon Basin.
Your Amazon lodge is strategically located in the upper Amazon basin overlooking the majestic Napo River. Because the Napo River has a low water level, you can take a refreshing swim or simply relax on the small sandy beach. The shore is also used for the canoe rides to the best natural sites that you will discover during your program: Cascades, secondary forest hikes & treks, wildlife & flora discovery, visit to Animal Rescue Center, visit to Indigenous Communities for lively experiences like gold rinse, blow-pipe usage, pottery making, typical “chicha” tasting and more. Also adventure upriver by canoe, visit a variety of native communities and have spiritual encounters with the shaman, who’s practicing centuries-old religions.
Journey to the Napo River, the most accessible of all the Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest rivers, and allow our expert guides to direct your voyage of discovery deep into the jungle. Now, if you like to, depart earlier from Quito towards the Amazon so you can visit the charming Termas Papallacta Hot-Springs to enjoy a wonderful relaxing natural thermal-water or its amazing Spa area (private pools), then continue your way to Misahualli and to your Lodge.
Nature lovers will relish the chance to spot giant ceibo trees, as well as catch glimpses of rare and beautiful butterflies and exotic insects. This is a place where the sheer scale of life on display is overwhelming.
