MS Fridtjof Nansen | Cruise Ship Antarctica

Overview

Our newest fleet addition pays tribute to Fridtjof Nansen, the Nobel Peace Prize winner, explorer and scientist from Norway. Nansen is known for the Arctic Expeditions he led and for the first time he crossed Greenland by skis. But arguably his most famous expedition was the Fram Expedition, which took place between 1893-1896. It is interesting to note that after Nansen’s expedition, Roald amundsen bought the ship and secretly prepared for an Antarctica expedition. The ship has a number of highlights, including a Science Center, Fitness Center and Wellness Center. There are also multiple restaurants, a Hot tub, Pool, Saunas, Bars, WiFi, as well as inviting common areas.
