You will be astonished by the beauty of Antarctica, which is a frozen wonderland. Antarctica is a place of wonder. It's surrounded by glaciers that are as large as floating cathedrals and icebergs. The silence in Antarctica may be the biggest surprise. Wildlife breaks the stillness every now and then.
By December and January, whales are arriving in larger numbers. The first penguins also hatch in this period. It's always charming to see those feather clumps running about. The peak months for whale watching are February and March, as huge quantities of krill attract whales.

The expedition cruise concludes in Ushuaia. This is the largest city of Tierra del Fuego province, Argentina's most southern province. You'll fly back to Buenos Aires from here. But your journey is not over.
