How many people live in the Galapagos Islands?

There are an aproximate of 25000 inhabitants in the Galapagos archipelgo. The most populated island is Santa Cruz with 12000 inhabitants (throughout the towns of Puerto Ayora and Santa Rosa), the second largest population is located on San Cristobal Island (towns of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno and El Progreso) with about 7000 inhabitants, the third largest population is located on Isabela island (Puerto Villamil) some 2000 people live here, finally the small town of Puerto Velasco Ibarra has  the smallest population with 200 people is located on Floreana island.
