New Hotel in World’s Southernmost City Enhances Patagonia’s Appeal for Antarctic Travelers

2024-10-07

A 150-room luxury hotel is being built in Puerto Williams, Chile, to improve the experience of travelers heading to Antarctica by offering a seamless transition on their way to the White Continent.

Located in the world’s southernmost city, the hotel is expected to be completed by late 2025, further enhancing the region's appeal for Antarctic fly-cruise programs. It will provide a smooth journey from Santiago to Antarctica while maintaining exceptional standards of hospitality.

The project’s groundbreaking ceremony, attended by local investors and government officials, marked an important step in the development.

Positioned in Patagonia’s sub-Antarctic region, the hotel will feature stunning views of the Beagle Channel, snow-covered peaks, and untouched forests. Visitors will enjoy a range of amenities, including a restaurant, bar, fitness center, and a boutique offering local crafts.

The developers also plan to collaborate with the Puerto Williams community to support sustainable economic growth while preserving the area’s cultural and environmental heritage.
