The Galapagos Passion Yacht is a family-owned vessel acquired in Italy by Galapagueño Fidi Angermeyer. After arriving in Ecuador, it was completely rebuilt in the shipyards of Guayaquil to suit the requirements of expedition cruising in the same archipelago that inspired Charles Darwin. This yacht represents his dedication to converting classic luxury vessels into spacious touring yachts. His deep connection with the Galapagos Islands was the inspiration behind the Passion liveaboard. With this project, he has once again elevated the standard of luxury cruising in the Galapagos. Fidi continues to go further through his genuine passion and marine craftsmanship. It is also worth noting that the Galapagos Passion was renovated with infrastructure designed to support nature conservation and protect the extraordinary wildlife of the islands. This commitment is part of the Angermeyer family identity. The Passion Yacht supports Wild Aid and other organizations dedicated to preserving this Pacific wilderness sanctuary.
The Passion is an exclusive, VIP-focused liveaboard with refined luxury furnishings. It offers a spacious social area, a sky lounge with sundeck, a bar on the bridge deck, plus separate dining spaces and expansive sun decks. There is also a private solarium featuring a plunge pool and lounge chairs in the relaxation area. Each of the four large staterooms includes a private bathroom. The VIP cabins feature two bathrooms and an independent lounge area. All six cabins are air-conditioned and exceptionally spacious. The stateroom bathrooms include hair dryers, high-definition TV systems, 110 and 220-volt outlets, and USB chargers. This attention to quality is reflected in the yacht’s interior design, which uses fine materials such as marble, teakwood, and bronze. The M/Y Passion accommodates only 14 guests, while other luxury ships in the Galapagos may carry up to 100 passengers. This gives the yacht a private atmosphere, making it especially well suited for yacht charters.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner can be enjoyed in either the indoor or outdoor dining areas. The menu is elegant and carefully prepared, while also offering both quality and generous portions. Guests can enjoy a wide selection of international and Ecuadorian dishes.
Expedition equipment includes wet suits, snorkeling gear, sea kayaks, and zodiac tenders for exploring islands and high coastal cliffs. Stabilizers help reduce the movement of the sea, offering greater comfort on board. The Galapagos Passion sails smoothly between islands, supported by an experienced crew. With a 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio, it provides one of the finest levels of service and luxury in the islands. The Passion’s naturalist guide has received a Level III certification from the National Park, the highest rating available.
The Passion Yacht sails through the archipelago on 4, 5, and 8-day itineraries, covering both the eastern and western regions of this remarkable volcanic island chain. Guests may visit iconic sites such as Punta Suarez on Española Island, Fernandina Island, and Punta Espinoza on Fernandina. The three routes can also be combined into a 15-day Galapagos Islands cruise without repeating visitor landings.
