Visitors to the Charles Darwin Research Station can observe the conservation initiatives that protect the tortoise and iguana species. Visitors can observe hatchlings and adult turtles while watching ongoing conservation work to protect these species. AM — Gardner Bay
The beach features white sand, which stands out brilliantly, as it is home to sea lions and turtles that nest alongside friendly Española mockingbirds. Snorkel to explore underwater cliffs while swimming with colorful fish, turtles, sea lions, and small sharks.
PM — Punta Suarez

PM - South Plaza: The Secret Hotspot for Iguana Fanatics
The natural uplift of the ground has provided a cozy habitat for land iguanas, and the cactus finches are absolutely thriving in this unique ecosystem. From time to time, you can catch a glimpse of hybrid iguanas in this area, while the cliffs are also home to vibrant seabird colonies. Bachelor sea lions head for the cliffs in the late afternoon, seeking refuge from the dominant males.
AM — Darwin Beach
The sunken crater rim of Darwin Bay functions as a protected area which allows Red-Footed Boobies and Great Frigatebirds and Night Herons, and Yellow Warblers to thrive. The place becomes perfect for birdwatching because it combines mangrove trees with a peaceful shoreline.
PM — Prince Phillip’s Steps
The giant cliffs that lead to Prince Phillip's Steps show a natural staircase to visitors. The route takes you through massive booby bird colonies and Palo Santo trees until you reach a lava ridge where Short-Eared Owls observe thousands of Storm Petrels flying overhead.
AM — Sullivan Bay
The lava field from the late 1800s presents an impressive sight to visitors. The barren landscape includes two main elements, which consist of the rippled pahoehoe patterns and the bright tuff cones that make for great photography subjects.
PM — Bartolome
The famous Pinnacle Rock stands as a primary attraction of the Galapagos Islands. Visitors can swim alongside Galapagos penguins before hiking to the summit which reveals stunning views of Santiago Island and Daphne Major.
AM — Rabida
