The season’s first landing at the Snow Hill emperor colony

 

We announce the first landing on Snow Hill Island of the 2023-24 Antarctic season, visiting one of the largest emperor penguin colonies on Earth.

This remote site is reached by helicopter from the ship Ortelius, landing at a safe distance from the colony before walking in to view the penguins, chicks, and stunning scenery.
