Argentina National Park

The recent heavy rainfall in the Foz do Iguacu area over the weekend has led to significant damage to the pathway to Devil's Throat, affecting both the upper and lower circuits. For safety reasons, Iguazu National Park has been temporarily closed and is expected to reopen on November 3rd. The status of Puerto Iguazu National Park will be determined once the river's water level recedes, allowing authorities to assess and ensure secure access to all areas within the park. As was the case in previous years, access to Devil's Throat is expected to remain closed for at least three months.

Brazil National Park

The Brazilian National Park remains open, but as a precaution, the Devil's Throat Bridge (lower bridge) and the Macuco Boat Tour are temporarily closed. The Falls Lookout is operational.

In place of the Argentina Falls tours, the following alternatives are being provided:

  1. Itaipu + Bird Park with ticket

  2. Itaipu + Three Borders Landmark with ticket

  3. Bird Park + Three Borders Landmark with ticket

  4. Dinner with Rafain show

Please be aware that the weather forecast indicates ongoing rainfall throughout the week in the state of Parana and the city of Foz do Iguacu.

Immigration Process at the Brazilian Border

The Brazilian Federal Police has introduced a more flexible immigration procedure for border crossings. Passengers will now need to disembark to complete the procedure at the Federal Police in person only in the following cases:

  1. When entering Brazil to catch a flight, passengers must personally present their documents.
  2. When departing for the Argentina Airport, passengers are also required to present their documents in person.

Previously, in both of these scenarios, the guide handled the documents at immigration, and passengers remained in their vehicles. With this change, border crossing times have returned to their original schedules, and there is no need to adjust passenger schedules for tours and transfers.
