The Zebra Travel Club has officially launched, introducing a new travel initiative focused on curated group journeys designed for travelers interested in immersive and experience-driven exploration. Based in Alexandria, Virginia, the club plans to organize trips centered on cultural discovery, scenic cruises, and international destinations while encouraging shared travel experiences among participants. Its inaugural journey is expected to focus on Antarctica, a region renowned for its dramatic polar landscapes, pristine environments, and abundant wildlife, including penguins, seals, and seabirds that thrive in one of the world’s most remote ecosystems.
Antarctica is known for its vast glaciers and diverse wildlife, making it a prime location for travelers looking for a distinctive journey. Trips to this remote region usually last between 10 to 21 days and involve cruises departing from Ushuaia, Argentina, the southernmost city in the world. These excursions often include expert guides and naturalists to enhance the educational experience.
In addition to standard cruise options, a Fly-Cruise program allows travelers to skip the challenging Drake Passage by flying directly to the Antarctic Peninsula. This option minimizes travel time and offers a more comfortable experience, which includes a charter flight arrangement. One recent itinerary included an overnight stay in Santiago, Chile, followed by a short stay in Punta Arenas, before proceeding to Antarctica.
