The Falkland Islands are notable for their rich biodiversity, which includes five species of penguins, elephant seals, sea lions, and the largest population of black-browed albatross globally.
Embarking round-trip from Ushuaia, Argentina, a common departure point for Antarctic cruises, the itinerary is designed for those looking for both engagement and relaxation in nature. Key locations on the itinerary include New Island, Carcass Island, Steeple Jason, Saunders, Bleaker, Sea Lion, Pebble, Keppel, and West Point, enhancing wildlife encounters while allowing time for leisure.
The Magellan Discoverer, set to launch in November 2026, promises a more eco-friendly experience with hybrid-electric propulsion, accommodating 96 guests and enhancing the expedition experience.
In addition to the Falkland Islands voyages, new Patagonia and Chilean Fjords itineraries have been expanded to 11 days, now including an exploration of Torres del Paine National Park. This enhancement is designed for nature enthusiasts seeking a deeper immersion in the landscapes of southern Chile.
Early booking promotions are currently available for select departures, offering savings of up to $1,000 per person. Introductory prices start at $5,495 per person for early reservations, valid through March 31, 2026.
With these new offerings, the expanded expedition portfolio is intended to appeal to a wide range of travelers interested in experiencing the unique wildlife and natural landscapes of remote regions, while maintaining a strong focus on environmentally responsible operations.
