Aqua Mare has been sailing for a month now, and our first voyages were as amazing as we could have ever imagined. This launch is especially meaningful for Francesco Galli Zugaro, Aqua Expeditions founder. He started his career in luxury travel in Ecuador when he was just 17. For over a decade, he has longed to bring a luxury expedition vessel to these shores.
Galli Zugaro says, "It's such an gratifying moment of my life to finally go back to the Galapagos Islands to let our guests experience Enchanted Islands aboard our superyacht Aqua Mare."
Aqua Mare is the fifth Aqua Expeditions vessel and the first superyacht to sail to the Galapagos Islands. The 50-meter-long expedition vessel, which measures 50 meters in length, features seven suites designed by Zuretti, lavish social spaces and impeccable attention to detail.
The island's most exclusive crew-to-guest ratio is 1:1, and guests can enjoy a customized journey to suit their needs. Each day offers a unique experience, with everything from snorkeling with sea Lions and Galapagos penguins, to hiking through mangroves or lava fields. The cuisine, overseen by Pedro Miguel Schiaffino, a culinary genius, offers an adventure all its own, inspired both by the spectacular landscapes of the Galapagos Islands, and the Peruvian Nikkei.
