After purchasing two Galapagos cruises earlier this month, details about the new ships have been revealed.
The National Geographic Delfina and National Geographic Gemini will set sail for the first time on February 14, 2025, and March 14, 2025, respectively. Bookings are now available for voyages on both fully renovated vessels.
"The introduction of the National Geographic Delfina and National Geographic Gemini marks a significant achievement, effectively doubling the size of our Galapagos fleet and reinforcing our longstanding connection with the islands and their inhabitants," stated Sven-Olof Lindblad, the founder and CEO. "These additions expand our range of offerings, leveraging our nearly six decades of leading expeditions to these captivating islands."
The National Geographic Delfina, accommodating up to 16 guests, is the most intimate vessel in the National Geographic fleet. It features eight spacious staterooms, each equipped with either private balconies or direct access to an outer deck.
Additionally, the National Geographic Delfina includes a wrap-around upper deck with an outdoor cafe, an open-air observation deck featuring a shaded relaxation area, a Whirlpool Hot Tub, and lounge chairs. The main deck offers amenities such as a dining room, bar, lounge, and library.
The ship will operate year-round in the archipelago, offering two new itineraries: the 10-day "Galápagos by Catamaran: An Intimate Voyage" and the 16-day "Galápagos by Catamaran + Machu Picchu and Peru’s Land of the Inca."
The National Geographic Gemini features 27 accommodations, comprising a combination of cabins and suites designed for one to three guests, with a total capacity of 48 guests.
Among its amenities are an upper deck equipped with a Whirlpool Hot Tub and a Fitness Center and Spa with panoramic windows. The lounge deck includes an outdoor cafe, while the Marina Deck houses a restaurant encased in glass. Additionally, there is a spacious lounge area with a bar and library.
The ship will operate year-round, offering two main itineraries: the 10-day "Exploring Galápagos: One Week Sailing the Islands" and the 16-day "Exploring Galápagos + Machu Picchu and Peru’s Land of the Inca."
