Key Takeaways
Golden Galapagos focuses on sustainable luxury with its Golden Touch philosophy.
Golden Galapagos is changing the landscape of luxury travel, with a very specific purpose: sustainability and meaningful connection the whole way through.
This Golden Touch is a philosophy in action, not just a tagline. Sustainability has become one of the company's core values, and the company has based every decision and experience on board someone's cruise on this responsible way of travelling.
Golden Galapagos currently operates five luxurious cruises in the enchanted Galapagos. Ocean Spray, Petrel, Elite Catamaran, Endemic Catamaran and Monique Catamaran.
At the symposium, Luisa and Ivonne spoke about one of the most essential values that drives the company´s constant innovation:
"We listen and work collaboratively as a team," she said.
This collaborative style of working has been integral to growing and creating memorable travel experiences that are not only related to today´s traveller, but also to the fragile ecosystem of the Galapagos.
Golden Galapagos is a professional company that is centered around purposeful luxury, the new launches reflect this thinking.
Monique Catamaran will be launched in April next year. Monique will be a new quality benchmark for eco-cruising in the Galapagos. With an advanced solar panel and battery system, the Monique Catamaran combines comfort and environmental performance, with beautiful cabins and a slim and sleek layout.
The Grand Ocean Spray is being built with sustainability at its design-core as a more premium version of the current Ocean Spray. The Grand Ocean Spray will be outfitted with solar panels allowing a superior cruising experience.
The Galapagos Eminence is the next and boldest step for luxury cruising with the ongoing commitment to luxury and sustainability that Golden Galapagos has already established with so many, preserving the earth by protecting the natural beauty of the Galápagos and providing guests with memorable experiences.
The lodge has the unique features of facilitating families with customization options and family programs with naturalists or native guides. It has amenities for comfort and is integrating solar panels and batteries, reducing its carbon footprint, for sustainability. Located in the Amazon region of Ecuador, only two hours from El Coca into Yasuní National Park is a lodge where nature, comfort, and well being come together. It is the only lodge in the region with a spa and yoga classes so you could practice self-care after immersion in the jungle.
Christopher mentioned one completely unique feature of the lodge, the observation tower. At 40 m, the observation tower offered an incredible 360-degree view of the amazon rainforest and as he mentioned, "it is amazing for birdwatching and optimising your inlet with nature". The observation tower offers many unique features other than just a lookout to view the neighbouring forest, it also offers disconnection from the outside world while being consumed with all the ecuador wildlife surrounding you.
